Mariem is a passionate women who has found peace and comfort in photography. For her, photography is really about finding beauty in the ordinary…it is about paying attention to surroundings, to people, to details…to be present and conscious. She loves sharing her passion and uses her photos to spread positive vibes around her.   She loves to travel for work or leisure. As Pablo Neruda said: “You start dying slowly / if you do not travel / if you do not read / if you do not listen to the sounds of life / if you do not appreciate yourself...”

When she’s not taking photos, Mariem is a Senior Economist at the World Bank Group in Washington, DC, her other dream job. She has also co-founded two organizations: Tunisian American Young Professionals (www.tayp.org) and Women for Development (www.we4dev.org), to promote the role of Tunisians living abroad and women in the economy.

Ultimately, her dream is to dedicate her time to a project that would help children grow up carefree, confident and happy.
